This sensor's copper housing is designed to bolt onto flat surfaces.
Works with Heliodyne DDT Delta-T differential temperature controls.
These 10k ohm thermal sensors are interchangeable, based on the specification of 10k ohms at 77°F (25°C).
The SAS-10 senses temperature by conduction, and are not for liquid immersion, or inside collectors. For a proper reading, ensure the copper lug on the sensor is firmly against the monitored surface using a stainless-steel pipe clamp across the flat surface or bolted via the through-hole. Cover exposed sensor with (pipe) insulation to avoid reading ambient temperature and other sources of thermal interference.
The sensor leads are 24GA Class II wiring and carry 4VDC. Use a conductor 18-24 GA zip or bell wire to run from the sensor location to the control. Use caution when installing to avoid wire damage. Shielded wire is not necessary.
